A place for the things that catch my attention
Notes on software, design and whatever’s caught my attention. A few things I’m making, too.
I wanted somewhere to write about the things I find while making things.
Software I’ve been checking out. An interface that makes me pause and look a little closer. A technical breakthrough that gets me thinking about what I could build with it.
Some of those discoveries lead to a project. Others are interesting enough to spend an evening exploring.
That’s what I’d like this Journal to be: somewhere to share what’s caught my attention and think through it in writing.
Macro is one of the apps I’m curious about at the moment. It brings email, documents, chat and other work into a shared workspace. I’d like to spend some time with it and write about what I notice, particularly the design and how it feels to use.

I’ll share things from my own projects too. Something I’m experimenting with, a decision I’m working through, or a small detail I’ve spent far too long adjusting.
Some posts will be short. Others might need a cup of tea.
I’d like to leave room for unfinished thoughts here. I can write about something while I’m still exploring it, then come back with a different opinion after living with it for a while.
Hopefully you’ll find something you want to try, read or make yourself. I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes.
